At a press conference in Trois-Rivières, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Quebec Premier François Legault are expected to make an announcement concerning high-speed Internet access in the province. They are joined by federal Innovation Minister François-Philippe Champagne, as well as by Gilles Bélanger, the parliamentary assistant to the premier of Quebec.
In a virtual press conference, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh outlines the party’s opposition day motion. The motion calls on the government to transition profit-driven long-term care homes into not-for-profit facilities by 2030 Singh is joined by Aaron Gruntke, whose mother died at the age of 59 after spending six months in a long-term care home, as well as by Dr. Vivian Stamatopoulos, a long-term care advocate.
