Riding to Watch: Parkdale–High Park ON

The Toronto riding of Parkdale–High Park has flipped back and forth between the Liberals and NDP in the last four elections, and if it were up to Paul Taylor it would flip one more time.
The executive director of Toronto’s Foodshare is running under the NDP banner and is campaigning on the issue of affordable housing. The Liberal incumbent is Arif Virani, a lawyer who was appointed parliamentary secretary for justice in the Trudeau government.
Real estate agent Adam Pham is the Conservative and small-business owner Nick Capra is the Green party candidate.
Arif Virani (Liberal) won with 42% support — and a 1.8% margin of victory (24,280 votes) over NDP runner-up Peggy Nash.
Parkdale–High Park was the 24th closest race out of all 338 ridings.
Voter turnout was 73.6%.
