2013 Byelection – Labrador

On May 13, 2013, voters in Labrador will go to the polls to elect an MP for their riding. The incumbent Peter Penashue resigned after allegations of financial malfeasance during the general election of 2011. The Harper cabinet minister is facing a challenge from Yvonne Jones, the former Liberal MHA for the Labrador riding for Cartwright-L’Anse-au-Clair, Harry Borlase of the NDP, a Labrador native and environmental researcher and Libertarian Norman Andrews. CPAC’s Martin Stringer recently visited the riding and returned with this special report.
