Ontario Update on COVID-19, Expanding Mental Health Services – October 21, 2020
In a news conference at Queen’s Park, Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Health Minister Christine Elliott provide an update on their government’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak. They are joined by Michael Tibollo, Ontario’s associate minister of mental health and addictions, and Jill Dunlop, Ontario’s associate minister of children and women’s issues. They announce that the Ontario government is investing $24.3 million to expand mental health services for children and youth. Part of this funding will be dedicated to hiring additional staff.
