COVID-19: Canada Responds
COVID-19: Quebec Premier on Vaccines, Holiday Season Gatherings – Nov. 26, 2020
In Quebec City, Quebec Premier François Legault provides an update on the province's response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. He is joined by Christian Dubé, Quebec's minister of health and social services, and Dr. Horacio Arruda, the province's director of public health. This update comes as the province records 1,464 new cases of COVID-19, the highest single day increase since the start of the pandemic. The premier says he will speak with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau this evening. He hopes to find out how many vaccine doses will be delivered to Quebec and when to expect them. He adds that the list of people who will be vaccinated first is ready. Priority will be given to residents of long-term care homes, followed by healthcare workers and seniors. Legault also reminds Quebecers that the number of new cases will have to drop to allow gatherings during the holiday season. (no interpretation)
