New COVID-19 Measures in Toronto Workplaces – January 4, 2021
In Toronto, Mayor John Tory, Dr. Eileen de Villa, Toronto’s medical officer of health, Councillor Joe Cressy, chair of the Toronto Board of Health, and Matthew Pegg, general manager of Toronto’s Office of Emergency Management, provide an update on the city’s response to COVID-19 (coronavirus disease). They announce new measures aimed at reducing the spread of COVID-19 in the city's workplaces. Toronto Public Health will release the location of workplace outbreaks when significant transmission has occurred and employees’ privacy can be respected. Employers will also have to notify public health as soon as at least two COVID-19 cases have been confirmed. (no interpretation)
