Ontario’s Education Minister Announces School Reopening Plan – February 3, 2021
In a news conference at Queen’s Park, Stephen Lecce, Ontario’s minister of education, announces the timeline for the return to in-class learning for students in the province’s COVID-19 hotspots. In-classroom instruction has already resumed at schools in 19 of the province's 34 public health units. The minister announces that elementary and high school students in Toronto, Peel and York will return to class on February 16, while students from the 13 remaining public health regions will resume in-class learning on February 8. Lecce is joined by Dr. David Williams, the province’s chief medical officer of health. (no interpretation)
