COVID-19: Canada Responds
Quebec Health Minister on COVID-19 Vaccination, Masks in Elementary Schools
In Montreal, Christian Dubé, Quebec's minister of health and social services, provides an update on the province's response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. He is joined by Dr. Horacio Arruda, the province's director of public health. This update comes as seniors over 85 can begin to book COVID-19 vaccination appointments. The minister says 70,000 people booked an appointment during the first morning of registration. He also announces that the province is preparing to receive 400,000 doses of Pfizer’s vaccine and 300,000 from Moderna by the end of March. Dubé and Arruda also face questions on making masks mandatory in Quebec elementary schools starting March 8. (February 25, 2021) (no interpretation)
