For their study on systemic racism in policing in Canada, MPs hear from Indigenous and Inuit leaders about their peoples’ relationship with the RCMP. In the second panel, Senator Vernon White appears as a witness to discuss his experience as an RCMP officer and former chief of police for the Ottawa Police Service.

Participating in the study are British Columbia Assembly of First Nations’ Regional Chief Terry Teegee, Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami’s Natan Obed, Nunavut Tunngavik Inc.’s Aluki Kotierk, Legal Services Board of Nunavut’s CEO Benson Cowan, and social worker Robert S. Wright.
