WE Charity Scandal: MPs Vote Down Barrett’s Motion

Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics – October 26, 2020:

MPs finally vote on Conservative MP Michael Barrett’s motion from early October that calls for the committee to obtain records of all paid speaking appearances made by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, since 2008. MPs debate amendments to the motion that would drop the request to obtain records related to the prime minister’s mother and brother, and that would allow MPS to review paper copies of the documents but not the electronic versions.
