Romeo Saganash on National Truth and Reconciliation Day Bill
Canadian Heritage - November 16, 2020: Former NDP MP Romeo Saganash weighs in on Bill C-5, legislation that would make the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation a federal holiday. If passed, the new statutory holiday would be observed on September 30, which is also Orange Shirt Day— a day to remember the legacy of residential schools in Canada.
