Update on AG 2019 Spring Report on E-Commerce Taxation

Public Accounts – December 3, 2020:

Numerous government officials provide an update on their work in addressing the auditor general’s spring 2019 report on the taxation of e-commerce. The 2019 audit found that the government has lost tax revenue by not keeping pace with the digital economy.

Speaking to the committee are Canada Border Services Agency’s John Ossowski and Peter Hill; Canada Revenue Agency’s Bob Hamilton and Ted Gallivan; the Department of Finance’s Paul Rochon and Andrew Marsland; as well as the Office of the Auditor General’s Karen Hogan and Philippe Le Goff.
