He discusses the federal government’s legislation (C-9) that would provide direct access to emergency rent relief for businesses strongly impacted by COVID-19 and would extend the Canadian Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) until June 2021. The Bloc leader announces that his party will propose an amendment to the bill that would prohibit access to the wage subsidy for federal political parties. He is also asking parties to refund the money they received from the emergency program.
