Ali Velshi Delivers the Inaugural Right Honourable Herb Gray Lecture
MSNBC anchor and NBC News business correspondent Ali Velshi speaks about the weaponization of culture and the rise of identity politics at the inaugural Right Honourable Herb Gray Lecture in Ottawa. The event is moderated by Susan Delacourt, Ottawa bureau chief for the Toronto Star. The Right Honourable Herb Gray Lecture, organized by the Clayton H. Riddell Graduate Program in Political Management at Carleton University, was created to recognize the late Herb Gray's academic and political contributions. Herb Gray served in the House of Commons as a Liberal MP from 1962 to 2002. He held numerous ministerial positions under multiple prime ministers and was Canada's first Jewish cabinet minister. He also served as chancellor of Carleton University from 2008 to 2011. (May 6, 2019).
