2008 Discrimination Prevention Forum (Part 2 of 4)
This national conference was organized by the Canadian Human Rights Commission and held in Ottawa from October 27 to 29, 2008. This event brought together decision makers from the government, the private sector and non-profit organizations. It sought to encourage discussion on important issues related to the prevention of discrimination and promotion of human rights in the workplace. This October 28th workshop was titled "Proven Practices in Return-to-Work". Participants discussed the challenges and strategies for an effective return-to-work, with special emphasis on disability management. Among the panelists were Pam Grills (Owner and Principal Consultant, ErgoPrime Inc.), Carole Willans (National Council of Federal Employees with Disabilities), Mike Nassif (Return-to-Work Manager, Canadian Forces), and Melissa Fuerth (Human Resources and Social Development Canada).
