Securing Canada’s Future in a Climate Changing World
The National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy (NRTEE) hosts a unique round table forum entitled "Securing Canada’s Future in a Climate Changing World," which marks the organization’s 20th anniversary, Ottawa, Ont., October 30, 2008. Forum participants examine how climate change is expected to affect Canada’s environmental and economic security through the lenses of our ecosystems, our energy economy, and our Arctic environment. In the third round table, Fen Osler Hampson (the Norman Patterson School of International Affairs, Carleton University), Paul Heinbecker (distinguished fellow, international relations, Centre for International Governance), Thomas Homer-Dixon (Centre for International Governance, Innovation of Global Systems) and others discuss Securing Canada's Arctic Environment. The discussion is moderated by Jodi White (president, Public Policy Forum).
