Procedure and House Affairs (March 27, 2012) Public Safety Minister Vic Toews spoke to committee members about the threats made against him by the online hacker group Anonymous. Threatening videos that targeted Toews over the controversial online surveillance bill were posted on YouTube. The group called for the minister to either resign or remove the bill entirely. Toews has referred the matter to the RCMP. Queen's University professor emeritus Ned Franks provided his observations on the privilege issue raised by the minister.
