2016 Royal Tour – Great Bear Rainforest Dedication
In Bella Bella, B.C., on September 26, 2016, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge participate in the dedication of the Great Bear Rainforest as part of the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy, a Commonwealth-wide forest conservation initiative. The Great Bear Rainforest is the largest intact temperate rainforest in the world and is home to Kermode bears, known as “spirit bears.” Governor General David Johnston and Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould are also in attendance at the dedication.
