Prime Minister Speaks at Black History Month Reception
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau speaks at a reception to mark Black History Month. Heritage Minister Mélanie Joly hosts the event at the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, which includes remarks from Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen and Justice Donald McLeod, chair of the Federation of Black Canadians. The reception also includes the unveiling of Canada Post stamps honouring Lincoln Alexander, Canada's first black member of Parliament and a former Ontario lieutenant-governor, and Kathleen (Kay) Livingstone, founder of the Congress of Black Women of Canada.
