2018 Conservative Convention – Delegates Debate Policy Resolutions
Delegates debate policy resolutions on the third and final day of the 2018 Conservative convention in Halifax. The top 30 proposals that received the most support the day before at three workshops advanced to the full convention for plenary debate and potential adoption as official party policy. Resolutions on the party’s position on abortion legislation, removing a "values test attestation" for applicants of government-funded programs, assisted suicide, border crossings, and pornography are among those being debated. Other resolutions include limiting birthright citizenship, opposing federally imposed carbon taxes or cap and trade systems, and supporting the interprovincial trade of alcohol.
