Quebec COVID-19 Update: Premier Announces Anti-Racism Task Force – June 15, 2020
In Montreal, François Legault, the premier of Quebec, provides an update on the province's response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. He is joined by Lionel Carmant, Quebec’s junior minister of health and social services, Nadine Girault, the minister of international relations and the Francophonie, and Sylvie D'Amours, the minister responsible for Indigenous Affairs. The premier announces that the province is launching an anti-racism task force that will be co-chaired by Carmant and Girault. D'Amours will also be on the seven-member group. Legault also provides an update on his government's plan to train people to work as orderlies in Quebec's CHSLDs (long-term care centres).
