Manitoba COVID-19 Update: Province Tightens Restrictions – November 19, 2020
In Winnipeg, Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister provides an update on the province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. He is joined by Dr. Brent Roussin, Manitoba’s chief public health officer. Manitoba is imposing additional public-health restrictions in an effort to slow the spread of the virus. The new orders restrict gatherings at private residences, with exceptions such as child-care, health-care and home care services, construction or repairs, or to respond to emergencies. Business are prohibited from selling non-essential items in stores. The new measures go into effect on November 20. The entire province was put under red level restrictions on November 12, closing restaurants, bars, gyms, and non-essential businesses. (no interpretation)
