COVID-19 in Yukon: Bubble Ends With B.C., Self-Isolation Measures
In Whitehorse, Sandy Silver, the premier of Yukon, and Dr. Brendan Hanley, Yukon's chief medical officer of health, provide an update on the territory's response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. The territory is ending its travel bubble with British Columbia as COVID-19 cases surge in that province and across the country. As of 5 p.m. PDT November 20, everyone entering the territory will now be required to self-isolate for 14 days, except critical services workers. Exceptions also include residents of border areas such as Atlin, Lower Post, Fire Side, Jade City, Fraser and Pleasant Camp and those exercising an Aboriginal or treaty right.
