Fisheries Minister Faces Questions in Committee of the Whole – November 24, 2020
MPs question Fisheries Minister Bernadette Jordan during committee of the whole about her department's spending estimates and priorities for the coming year. She is also questioned about the ongoing dispute in Nova Scotia involving treaty fishing rights and acts of violence and vandalism directed at Mi’kmaw lobster fishers. Each fiscal year the Official Opposition chooses two departments for an estimates review by a committee of the whole. These reviews last a maximum of four hours each and must be held by May 31. Health Minister Patty Hajdu is scheduled to appear at committee at the whole on November 26.
