COVID-19: Quebec Tightens Public-Health Rules in Stores, Shopping Malls
Geneviève Guilbault, the deputy premier and minister of public security, speaks with reporters in Quebec City. The minister announces tighter public-health restrictions for shopping centres and businesses as the holiday season shopping rush approaches. The new rules will take effect on December 4, and will be applied to all stores and shopping malls. Limits will be imposed on the number of customers allowed inside a store, based on the square footage. This number will need to be clearly displayed. Police officers will also increase their presence in shopping malls to make sure the rules are respected, especially during the busiest periods. (December 4, 2020) (no interpretation)
