Saskatchewan Announces Changes to Health Orders, Vaccine Eligibility
In Regina, Saskatchewan Health Minister Paul Merriman provides an update on the provincial response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic and announces changes to public health orders and vaccine eligibility. Effective immediately, household bubbles are limited to immediate household members only for the entire province. Beginning April 14, the province is lowering the age requirement for walk-in vaccination appointments from 55 to 52, as well as expanding drive-thru vaccination eligibility to all residents aged 49-54. Pregnant women, clinically vulnerable 16- and 17-year-olds, and people in the province’s far north over the age of 40 are now eligible to receive the vaccine.
