Quebec Public Security Minister Announces Funding to Fight Domestic Violence
At a virtual press conference, Quebec’s minister for Public Safety, Geneviève Guilbault, announces additional funding of $13,2 million to increase the number of crisis intervention teams and to improve access to housing for victims of domestic violence. She is joined by Isabelle Charest, the province’s minister for the Status of Women, Andrée Laforest, minister responsible for housing, as well as by Gaëlle Fedida, coordinator of the Alliance des maisons d'hébergement de deuxième étape pour femmes et enfants victimes de violence conjugale.
