P.E.I. Update on COVID-19 – May 18, 2021
In Charlottetown, Dennis King, the premier of Prince Edward Island, Dr. Heather Morrison, the chief public health officer of P.E.I., and Marion Dowling, Health P.E.I.’s COVID-19 response lead, provide an update on the province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. Starting June 8, seasonal residents can return to the province. Arrivals will be limited to 500 per week and residents are required to have a negative COVID-19 test result within seventy-two hours of their return to P.E.I. The province is reporting two new cases. No additional cases have been confirmed in connection to the Leaps and Bounds Childcare Centre in Charlottetown. (No interpretation)
