CPAC’s Omayra Issa Honoured as Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum


Ottawa, April 4, 2024 — CPAC (the Cable Public Affairs Channel) is thrilled to announce that on-air presenter Omayra Issa has been recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader in the 2024 class.  This recognition marks Issa among more than 25 Canadians to receive this honour, underscoring her significant contributions to journalism and public discourse in Canada and internationally. 

For more than a decade, Issa has created and produced groundbreaking and innovative stories. Through bold storytelling and impactful engagement she has facilitated meaningful discussions while promoting equity within the media landscape.  This recognition by the World Economic Forum is a testament to Issa’s leadership, innovative thinking, and unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on society.

The title of Young Global Leader is given by the World Economic Forum to the world’s most promising leaders under the age of 40 who are committed to shaping a more inclusive and sustainable future.  As part of this community, Issa will join her peers from around the world in a multi-year program that aims to support members engaging with initiatives addressing the most pressing challenges of our time, while leveraging her platforms and skills to foster positive change globally.
