MPs consider a government motion on expediting Bill C-11 next week, including a Tuesday deadline for the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage to consider amendments and vote.
C-11 would place streaming services and social media platforms under the federal Broadcasting Act, subjecting them to the same rules and regulations as traditional Canadian broadcasters and giving new regulatory powers to the CRTC.
