Quebec Minister Outlines New Version of Economic Recovery Bill

In Quebec City, Sonia Lebel, Quebec’s minister responsible for government administration and chair of the Treasury Board speaks with reporters regarding the provincial government’s new version of Bill 61, which aims to ramp up infrastructures projects amid the COVID-19 pandemic. In June, opposition parties in the Quebec National Assembly defeated the original version of the bill over concerns that the government would be able to approve projects without the normal checks and balances.
