Ontario Premier Doug Ford on COVID-19 and Support for Restaurants
Ontario Premier Doug Ford makes an announcement in a restaurant in Etobicoke and responds to questions about his government’s response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. He is joined by Prabmeet Sarkaria, Ontario's associate minister of small business and red tape reduction, and MPP Christine Hogarth (Etobicoke—Lakeshore).They outline the province’s $300-million support plan for local restaurants and the food services industry, which have been highly affected by the new public-health restrictions in place in Toronto, Ottawa and Peel.
