COVID-19: Canada Responds
Manitoba Premier on COVID-19, Vaccine Distribution, Holiday Gatherings
In Winnipeg, Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister provides an update on his government’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. He claims that the federal government’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution plan, which is based on the number of residents, will result in Manitoba’s ending up getting the lowest ratio of vaccines after Indigenous peoples receive their allocated portion. Premier Pallister calls on the federal government to pass a national distribution strategy. He also announces that large-scale gatherings will not be allowed during the upcoming holiday season.
