COVID-19: Canada Responds
Alberta Health Minister on COVID-19 Vaccination in Pharmacies – Feb. 24, 2021
Alberta Health Minister Tyler Shandro holds a news conference in Calgary to provide an update on the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines through community pharmacies. He is joined from Edmonton by Margaret Wing, CEO of the Alberta Pharmacists’ Association. Starting February 24, Albertans aged 75 and older will be able to book appointments at more than 100 participating community pharmacies in Edmonton, Red Deer and Calgary. Appointments will begin the first week of March. The update comes as the province launches its online system for seniors to book vaccination appointments. The minister faces questions on the technical issues of the system, which crashed shortly after it opened. There were also issues with the telephone booking system. (no interpretation)
