Quebec to Offer AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine to People 45 and Over
In Quebec City, Quebec Premier François Legault provides an update on the province's response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. He is joined by Christian Dubé, Quebec's minister of health and social services, and Dr. Horacio Arruda, the province's director of public health. They announce that the special emergency measures in effect in the regions of Ottawa, Chaudière-Appalaches and Quebec City will be extended until May 2. These measures include closing schools and non-essential businesses. Minister Dubé also announces that the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine will now be offered to people aged 45 and over.
