COVID-19: Canada Responds
Ontario Premier Doug Ford holds a news conference while in self-isolation at his late mother’s home in Etobicoke. The premier is currently self-isolating after he was in close contact with a staff member who tested positive for COVID-19. He has tested negative, but is isolating as a precaution. Ford discusses the final report from Ontario’s Long-Term Care COVID-19 Commission that will be released later in the day. He also faces questions about the trip that then-finance minister Rod Phillips made to St. Barts last December, the vaccine rollout plan, the provincial government's new paid sick leave program, and border measures.
