COVID-19: Canada Responds
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau delivers remarks at the virtual Global Health Summit, which is co-hosted by the European Union and Italy. Leaders from the G20 gathered to discuss the international response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In his remarks, the prime minister touches on the global distribution of vaccines. He says Canada will continue to work with partners including at the World Trade Organization (WTO) to identify and reduce barriers to vaccine access. He also says Canada welcomes the Rome Declaration, which formalizes summit participants' commitments in the fight against COVID-19 and preparation for future global heath threats. (no interpretation)
