COVID-19: Canada Responds
Quebec Eases COVID-19 Restrictions in Seniors’ Homes – June 4, 2021
At a press conference in Quebec City, Marguerite Blais, Quebec's minister responsible for seniors and informal caregivers, announces the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in the province’s seniors' residences and long-term care homes. Starting June 7, residents in green zones will be allowed visits by up to nine people at a time. In yellow zones, people living at the same address will be allowed to visit a resident at the same time, while in orange zones visitors will be required to go one at a time. The minister also faces questions on new reports unveiling higher than expected costs for the transformation of seniors’ homes as promised by the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) during the 2018 provincial election campaign. She is joined by Dr. Horacio Arruda, the province's director of public health. (June 4, 2021) (no interpretation)
