Quebec Announces $25.8M to Fight Domestic Violence in Indigenous Communities
At a news conference in Quebec City, Quebec’s minister for Public Safety, Geneviève Guilbault, announces a $25.8-million funding to fight domestic violence in Indigenous communities. She is joined by provincial ministers Ian Lafrenière (indigenous affairs), Lionel Carmant (health) and Isabelle Charest (status of women), as well as by Pita Aatami, president of the Makivik Society.
