The House of Commons meets to consider supplementary estimates for the 2020–21 fiscal year. The estimates detail $87 billion in planned government expenditures, including emergency aid measures related to the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. During the course of debate, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh is ejected from the House for making unparliamentary remarks directed at Bloc Québécois House leader Alain Therrien; the remarks came after unanimous consent was denied for a motion proposed by Mr. Singh concerning systemic racism within the RCMP.
