The Great Canadian Tour
Quebec
A cross-country adventure exploring the sights, sounds, and stories that make Canada interesting and unique. Host Glen McInnis begins in Quebec City, which is celebrating its 400th anniversary throughout the year 2008. He speaks with André Charbonneau (a chief historian at Parks Canada (Quebec)) about the city’s rich history. Later, Karl Tremblay gives Glen a tour of the Musée de la place Royale. Next, Glen visits Montreal for a tour of the Montreal Holocaust Memorial Centre (MHMC). Marcia Shuster (MHMC vice-president) guides Glen through the MHMC’s museum. After his tour, Glen speaks with Rina and Mayer Schondorf, two Holocaust survivors residing in Montreal. The city is home to the world’s third largest population of Holocaust survivors.
