Evan Siddall, president and CEO of the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, clarifies the role that the CMHC plays in the housing finance sector. CMHC senior vice-presidents Steven Mennill and Michel Tremblay also testify. Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance, testifies during the second part of the meeting. She outlines the government's changes to Canada's housing rules to ensure stability and to promote affordability. Associate Deputy Finance Minister Rob Stewart also responds to questions.
