CPAC’s Peter Van Dusen provides a recap of the first day of the 2018 NDP convention in Ottawa on February 17, 2018. He is joined by NDP MPs Jenny Kwan (Vancouver East, B.C.) and Sheila Malcolmson (Nanaimo–Ladysmith, B.C.), journalists Marie-Danielle Smith (National Post) and Lee Berthiaume (The Canadian Press), and pollster David Coletto from Abacus Data. Martin Stringer interviews Tamika Mallory, co-chair of the Women’s March on Washington, about her support of controversial religious leader Louis Farrakhan. He also speaks to delegates about some of the big issues and key resolutions for them at the convention.
