On Parliament Hill, Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) president Hassan Yussuff, Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) president Mike Palecek and Rural and Suburban Mail Carriers (RSMC) unit chief negotiator Nancy Beauchamp discuss the federal government's introduction of legislation that would force striking Canada Post workers back to work if the labour dispute is not settled. The government also tabled a motion to accelerate the passage of the legislation. Postal workers began their rotating strikes across the country on October 22. The government appointed a mediator to help with contract negotiations between the Crown corporation and roughly 50,000 employees. (November 23, 2018) (no interpretation)
