COVID-19 Update: Quebec Making Masks Mandatory on Public Transit – June 30, 2020
At a news conference in Montreal, François Legault, the premier of Quebec, provides an update on his province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. He announces that wearing a mask while taking public transit in the province will be mandatory as of July 13. The new regulation applies to public transit users 12 years of age and older. The premier is joined by Christian Dubé, the provincial minister of health and social services, Chantal Rouleau, the minister responsible for the Montreal region, and Dr. Horacio Arruda, Quebec’s director of public health.
