COVID-19: Canada Responds
Members of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development speak with reporters about the findings from their interim report that focuses on the humanitarian crisis presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. The report contains 10 recommendations for a global response that will meet the needs of the most vulnerable. The virtual news conference is taking place on the first anniversary of the World Health Organization’s declaration of a pandemic. Speaking with reporters are Sven Spengemann (chair and Liberal MP), Michael Chong (vice-chair, Conservative), Stéphane Bergeron (vice-chair, Bloc Québécois), Heather McPherson (NDP), and Ruby Sahota (Liberal).
