Conservative Leadership Debate in Ottawa – August 3, 2022
Candidates vying to succeed Erin O'Toole as leader of the Conservative Party of Canada face off in the last of three official leadership debates organized by the party. Scott Aitchison, Roman Baber, and Jean Charest are taking part in the debate, which is being held in Ottawa and includes both English-language and French-language components. Candidates Leslyn Lewis and Pierre Poilievre both declined to attend. Rob Batherson, the Conservative party president, serves as the debate’s moderator. The party will announce its new leader on September 10, 2022.
