"Tainted Blood" is the story of a tragic failure on the part of the Canadian blood system and government in the 1980s, and how more than 30,000 Canadians received blood tainted with hepatitis B or HIV as a result. In this full-length interview, we speak to Mike McCarthy, a hemophiliac who was infected with hepatitis C through blood transfusion in 1984. That tainted blood was traced to a donor from a prison in Arkansas. McCarthy was the representative plaintiff for a class action lawsuit against government for compensation for "forgotten victims". He is also the co-founder and chair at Bloodwatch.org.

Health Minister Allan Rock Releases Krever Inquiry Report – November 26, 1997
Federal health minister Allan Rock releases the final report of the Royal Commission of Inquiry on the Blood System in Canada, also known as the Krever Inquiry, in a news conference in Ottawa. Following the announcement, opposition health critics Grant Hill (Reform), Pauline Picard (Bloc Québécois), and Judy Wasylycia-Leis (NDP) also speak to reporters.

At the final day of hearings for the Royal Commission of Inquiry on the Blood System in Canada, also known as the Krever Inquiry, contributors present final submissions to Justice Horace Krever (commission chair). Present at the hearing are representatives from the Canadian Hemophilia Society, the Canadian AIDS Society, the Canadian Red Cross Society and other organizations. The final hearings took place on December 9 through 12, 1995.
